Georgian Era Foil backed Amethyst Earrings

Lovely early 19th century earrings set in 15k gold. Cushion and pear shaped amethyst stones set in closed-back collet settings. The stones are a pale purple, with varied shades of purple and pink coming from the foil behind the stones. The coloring is very unique. English in origin. Circa 1800.
