Georgian Era Table Cut Diamond Hoop Earrings
A rare example of 18th-century table cut stones set in silver on gold cutaway settings. The unusual form is similar to French poissarde earring designs. The original ‘wig hook’ detail counterbalances the diamonds' weight set on the hoop's front side. Beautiful dark patina to the foil-backed settings. Light and delicate earrings. Typical to the period, back-to-front fittings. England, circa 1780.
1.5" in drop length.
