Victorian Diamond Ruby & Emerald Brooch
Victorian diamond, ruby, and emerald drop brooch. Three pear shaped stones suspend upside down in this wonderful late Victorian brooch. The emerald weighs approximately 0.95 carats, the old pear shaped diamond approximately 1.20 carats, and the ruby is estimated at 1.20 carats by measurement. The ruby is an unheated stone from Burma. 63 old cut diamonds with an approximate weight of 1.00 ctw complete the top of the brooch with four accent emeralds and four rubies. Silver topped gold with indistinct European hallmarks on the clasp. Circa 1880. Measures 1" wide with 7/8" drop (drop measurement taken from top of brooch to bottom of diamond drop).
