Queen Anne Garnet Paste Earrings
English Queen Anne garnet paste earrings in pinchbeck metal. Circa 1720 -1740.
A very rare find, 300 year old Queen Anne style earrings. Wearable, original hooks with double 'wig hooks' intact. These hooks served a double purpose, on larger earrings they were useful to tie the earring into the hair to alleviate weight while also keep the earrings from tipping forward.
These are light in weight and wearable. Often these original hooks are too thick and can be uncomfortable in the ear. Found outside of London.
