Second Empire French Convertible Diamond Floral Necklace and Tiara
An exquisite necklace that has the capability to convert into earrings, hairpins, brooches, pendants, a simple line bracelet, and a grand tiara. Hundreds of old mine cut and rose cut diamonds are set in silver on gold. The necklace was made at the end of the second empire by the famous Parisan jeweler, CH Fontana et cie. The beautiful set remains housed in its original box from the Palais Royal in Paris. The forget-me-not flowers reveal the necklace was likely given initially as a token of love. French in origin. Circa 1870.
Necklace measures 15" in total length. The largest diamond flower measures 1.50" in diameter. The convertible bracelet measures 7.25" in total length.
