Georgian Era Garnet and rose cut diamond Cluster Ring


18th Century ring with a deep red perpignan garnet surrounded by dark rose cut  diamonds set in silver topped 18k gold. The garnet was one of the most desirable gemstones of Georgian era jewelry. Circa 1780. 

This ring shows typically intricate Georgian era details on the shank. A leaf and vine motif twines around each shoulder. The details have been worn smooth with time and wear. Each stone is set in a closed back setting with foil to help reflect light. The ring is in solid antique condition. 

Size 6.25, can be resized slightly. There is evidence of an old resizing at the back of the shank.
